CH + KL

Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day with their sweetheart. Here at 506, we kept it low key although nonetheless schmoopy. You can see, I decided to embrace the cheese-factor of this holiday with the pink and red decor and the sugary treats (Sweets are always a hit with Chris).

Today also marks one year since we started up the blog. This is the 80th post and (doing a little quick math) that is about one every four and half days or so. Not bad considering every now and again we get caught up in life and neglect to update it. Given the response from the few people we know who actually follow regularly (read: our parents), I think we'll keep it up. I like that even though we might not live near one another or have time to constantly fill everyone in on our daily activities, this provides a way for us all to feel better connected. If nothing else, I hope that's what comes out of this public display of our affection. ;)

Surely you don't mean me

Catching up on our Osgood today, this piece elicited several knowing chuckles from Kelley:

Watch CBS Videos Online

Hm. Rather than defend myself, I wish to thank my dad for turning us on to "CBS Sunday Morning." It is our favorite thing on TV (when a certain island-based show is away, that is).

30 Love

Hello, everyone! Remember us? Well, you can probably tell from our absence on the blog that school is back in full force. Chris is back in Spanish with a side of American Lit, and I'm taking so many English classes at once that I don't have time for much more than reading around the clock (although admittedly I really enjoy most of the novels). So this may explain why we haven't had much time to do anything blog-worthy lately.

However, Monday night we decided to put down the books and join our friend Chris Grandstaff for a little tennis at the SAP Open. We ended up seeing Pete Sampras play an exhibition match (better action/game pics over at the Grandpease blog). It was a good way to spend a few hours, but I tend to need some competition in order to stay interested. Chris compared the event to the Oasis concert he saw a few months back in that both were things he loved as a teen and here he is 30, watching them past their prime with a bit of sentimentality.

Oh, and our friends Will and Lisa had their adorable baby, Jack, on Sunday. Congrats to them and we can't wait to meet him!

Besides all that, we've just been keeping things low key... having nice dinners at home, fawning over our adorable (and sometimes crazy) kitten, and reading, reading, reading!

Parents, I know sometimes you visit our blog to see some recent pictures. With that in mind, here are some recent (albeit random) ones:
